The Plogging Event organized by Dr. Gözde Yetim and Dr. Çağrı Arı within the scope of the course together with our department students and MAUN Recreation community was successfully held on April 22, 2025 with the contributions of MAUN Genç Ofis!
In the event held with the participation of our recreation department students and MAUN Recreation community members, we both took action for our health and contributed to the cleanliness of our campus/environment.
What is Plogging?
Plogging is an environmental and fitness movement of Swedish origin. It consists of the combination of the Swedish words "to collect" (plocka upp) and the English words "to run" (jogging). In short, it means picking up garbage from the ground while running or walking briskly. In this way, we both stay in shape and beautify the environment we live in.
